These are rare to come by, and certainly not for this price - new saddles fo for over $5,000 - and for good reason, Antares is one of the best saddle makers in the world.
The leather is in good condition, thick and soft. This saddle still has many many good years left in it. The leather in Antares saddles is top quality, so it keeps it's softness and with normal care will never resemble one of those hard old creaky saddles!
Antares saddles are all handcrafted and are part the group I consider the top elite french saddle manufacturers : Butet, Childeric, Devoucoux, and Delgrange. My opinion (although I know many other professionals who agree with me) is that these five manufacture the best luxury saddles in the world. Antares saddles are known for their great fit, and incomparable comfort.
I live in France, and am selling this saddle from here (even though I was not able to put in the correct postal code in my listing). I have a long experience shipping saddles, and will send it well packed and insured. have sold numerous saddles on ebay, and have always had very satisfied customers. I will ship anywhere :) I do not accept returns unless the item was not as described, so please know your size in Antares saddles before bidding!
The saddle is in beautiful used condition. The leather is in good condition, thick and soft. The seat has a bit of wear along the edge (pictured). Also there is a small rub in the leather at the front of the knee roll, I will post a picture asap. Otherwise the pictures speak for themselves:) It comes with a Antares saddle cover. Numbers under the flap are as follows (see picture): SC 3A 17 5 E 331 This translates into a half-deep seat, slightly longer flaps, normal forward flaps, 17.5 inch seat size, narrow tree. Size is a true 17.5″
