Purchased in May 2016 (less than 7 months old) This is the perfect combination of bags for active traveling. The ability to pull the backpack straps out and wear it over rough terrain or running through the airport is invaluable. Once you're at your destination, you can zip off the daypack and use that for your exploring. The daypack is deceivingly spacious - it's more than enough for a light or puffy jacket, camera, computer, and snacks. I bought this thinking we would do a bunch of traveling - and then we had a kid! Roller bag was used once - some scuffs on bottom from normal rolling. Daypack was used a few times for going out around town.
