Our opinion:- The Royal Rockhampton 6 + 2 Air Tent is a great value 6 + 2 Berth Air Frame Tent. Offering a 6 berth bedroom configuration (2 x 3 berth layout) with option of erecting the optional 2 berth inner tent if required. Both doors feature rain safe canopies to aid keeping the tents groundsheet dry when entering and leaving the tent in poor weather. The fabric used in the flysheet is 150 Denier Polyester with a Hydrostatic head of 4000mm offering a better than average fabric for a tent in this price band. 150D is the Denier of the fabric and cheaper tents only use 70 to 80 Denier fabrics, a higher denier fabric will be more resilient and last longer. The Hydrostatic head of a fabric or water column is a test of the amount of water resting on the fabric before some drops of water penetrate the fabric. So in the case of this tent it is the pressure of 4m of water.The Rockhampton 6 + 2 is an Air frame tent, so is quick and easy to pitch with the supplied hand pump. Lots of mesh doors/windows to help keep out the bugs and reduce condensation. A large Air framed tent that has lots of nice features and is very good valve for money.
