Haglofs Essens III Down Women's Outdoor Jacket
A versatile superior down hooded jacket offering a very low weight, superb compressibility and warmth.
The Haglofs Essens III Down Hooded Outdoor Jacket is developed with Pertex Quantum which is a super lightweight and strong fabric offering significant weight reduction without sacrificing strength or abrasion resistance. Using some of the finest yarns available with the optimum thread count this fabric has an extremely dense weave construction which makes it down proof by construction. Tear strength and seam strength are good for its weight and it can be easily used in shell jackets and can withstand the abuse of hardcore use. Pertex Quantum fabrics used by Haglofs are Bluesign approved and have a fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment which keeps long lasting performance even in humid conditions and to speed up drying time. The jacket is also constructed with ripstop fabrics which are woven fabrics often made out of nylon, using a special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping, providing maximum durability. Fitted in the shoulder inserts from freedom of movement is Polartec Powerstretch. Polartec Powerstetch has the ability to retain warmth without restricting movement or agility during activities. The outer surface has a low-friction finish that reduces irritation when worn with other fabrics and increases overall abrasion resistance. The next-to-skin layer stays dry, breathable and comfortable by continuously transferring moisture vapour for rapid evaporation. This versatility provides flexible support and warmth for reliable comfort in any fitness based activity. Polartec Powerstetch wicks moisture like a base material but can handle direct exposure to the elements when necessary. For extra comfort, the jacket is designed with elasticated sleeves and hem to give a comfortable closure without adding weight. The jacket is constructed with a wind baffle and integrated chin guard behind the front zipper to prevent the elements from entering the jacket while offering enhanced comfort thanks to the chin guard. For protection against the rain, the jacket has a 3-way adjustable hood with reinforced peak for enhanced visibility. Lastly, for storage of essentials, the jacket has two handwarmer pockets and one chest pocket with micro zippers to reduce bulk, and additionally, if the jacket is not in use it can be easily folded away into its own pocket.
