Up for grabs is one excellent condition almost complete original Sierra Designs Glacier tent made at the Berkeley California shop by SD's co-founders George Marks and Bob Swanson before Sierra Design went corporate.
This tent has all the original parts including the bag, What it is missing it one of the four original support post with the pin ends.
Luckily it does come with another full set of A frame poles the same height as the originals. One repair some small tiny pin holes
in a group on the tent body sealed with clear sealer that's all the repair needed. This tent screams early outdoor innovation of the Eco era before things went overseas.
It has the usual floor front entrance stains but no abrasions, some minor stains hear and there but no mildew no sticky polyurethane under fly or inside tent. Not one spot of peeling or flaking. Inner tent, floor and under fly is smooth to the touch and has never seen seam sealer.
Outer floor is seriously clean for it's age no holes tree sap or repairs and hardly any stains..

Tent pegs and peg sack. Grommets are all intact and solid even the inner tent leather A frame guy line grommets are complete and intact not dried out or cracking.  Peg out straps are undamaged and securely sewn to the tent body!! All Zippers work smooth with no damage, repairs or replacement.

What I have done other than repairing the tiny holes I hand washed with Nikwax cleaner and rinsed it to get the dust, dirt and old tent odor out, it worked well but still has some slight vintage odor.
I didn't scrub on the front entrance floor so it still has the stain, that I will leave up to you to clean but rubbing with my thumb when it was wet it starting coming off.
Air dried outdoors for two days and was fully coated with silicon tent sealer body and rain fly, water beads right off. Features: Snow tunnel entrance with netting and draw strings on one end,
YKK Zippered Cooks hole, netted tube roof vent two Nylon YKK zippers on the front A entrance.
Full undamaged rain fly with
Nylon YKK zippered front vestibule. All original Berkeley labeled including the, Green stuff sack.
Also the original three poles (another Full extra A frame set included not original)...

My guess is the tent pole section was left behind during a camp out by original owner and replaced it with a whole new set. It happened to me once, forgot the whole pole set..
Without hesitation this is a good collectors piece and who ever wins this auction will be pleased. Please ask questions and I have more photos that need to be seen including the repair section.
