The Alpinist is the rework the traditional mummy into a sleeping bag Nunatak feels is more useful design for efficiency and comfort.Moved the zipper from the side to a center front location. This gives you full use of both arms while still having head and back in the sleeping bag, a must when performing camp tasks in less than ideal conditions.The center zip also provide more effective torso ventilation.But, based on user feedback, the biggest advantage is the lack of cold spots at your back when side-sleeping facing away from the traditional zipper placement on the side hem.The bag is 4 years old and seen 30 nights of use. Bag is in Excellent Condition. No rips, tears, odors or staining. Bag is just been washed with Nikwax down soap and ready for another adventure.
