A custom made in the UK, one off, topquilt /blanket. 700fp pure white down, 'D' baffle quilt. Beautifully warm, soft and cosy way to spend you time in the outdoors. This is my design for a tougher, stronger down quilt using a sewn through method to attach the layer of fabric together removing the internal baffles which are a common failure point in sleeping bags and quilts. An additional benefit is that should a line of stitching go it should be field repairable with needle and thread. Usually sewn through is for warmer conditions but due to this quilt having an excess of fabric on the inside it can bulge out creating a stable and warm quilt, hence D baffle. Probably good to a little above freezing for most people. The bulges are compressed by the weight of the quilt itself squashing the Ds into roughly square shape of standard quilts. The D baffles also allows more air to flow around the bag, due to increased surface area, should allow you to dry out a damp bag should it get wet. Fabrics are coated in a breathable durable water repellant coating (DWR) This quilt has a waterproof zip port that can be used to add or remove down should it be needed (I also sell the empty quilts with zips so you can make use of an old sleeping bag and fill it yourself) This quilt is made using 1.1oz DWR down proof nylon, dark grey on the outside and lighter on the inside. Only one end has a bungee cord as it's only ever the bottom I cinch in (if you need the top bungee tell me and I'll stick one in, £2). Genuine KAM snaps at foot end. 210cm (excluding the channel) x 110cm (7'x43") 600g for the blanket only (stuff sack extra) with a little over 300g of Polish white down (far superior to the over fluffed Chinese down, this down is more resistant to moisture) (This quilt can be made into a modular system using two D baffle quilts. Stacked and clipped together for deep cold conditions (-15 and below), clipping two quilts together for XL blanket/or footbox closed upper clipped together for couples, message me for detail on this system) I can make various warmth ratings (thicker or thinner) and also different sizes to fit perfectly. Happy to do deals if bought as a two quilt modular system or with a hammock underquilt. It's also possible to add suspension to this quilt and hang underneath hammock as an underquilt, not perfect but usable if you don't hammock too often. Supplied with a stuff sack and storage sack (not shown) just message me if you'd like it roomy or small, breathable, silnylon mesh.
