The Sioux style tipi is very popular because of the extensive historical information available about the tribe. Many books have been written about the Sioux and Sitting Bull is probably the best known of all American Indian Chiefs. Tipi Etiquette is something fun to read and abide by when you have your friends come over. The Tipis are made in a family owned tent shop in Montana. They have been making tents and tipis since 1945. Families from the different tribes throughout Montana have come to the shop and taught them how to make their tribal patterns. So this is a true Sioux Indian pattern. They are proud to preserve this part of American Heritage.Our Sioux tipi leans to the back more than the Crow style and comes standard with an oval shaped door opening. The smoke flaps are longer than those of the Crow tipi resulting in a shorter lace pin and door section, and somewhat larger smoke hole. This Tipi is being offered in 10.10 oz. Flame Retardent Canvas. It requires 17 20 FT. poles. Tipi Erection Instructions Included. Other sizes are available as well as poles. Please contact me for a quote.
