So here's what I love about the Food For Health Emergency Food 275 Bucket
Yes, each is in a sealed bucket and yes they can last up to 20 years and all these are freshly packaged and each is in unopened box (with packing date)
and all you need is water and a heating source. And that's all wonderful. But what I REALLY LOVE is
(1)they're designed to provide necessary daily nutrients and
(2)THEY TASTE GOOD. I'll go a step further - they taste REALLY good!

FRESHLY PACKED no earlier than JUNE 2012
20 year shelf life if stored at 60 degrees . Stored on location in climate-controlled environment WHILE IN OUR POSSESSION)
Even if stored at 70 degree, shelf life is still 10 years!

(We noticed that at least one other seller has these quite a few pounds
lighter. They were 27 lbs when shipped to us and they're still 27 lbs on our USPS scale, so can't account for someone else's figure?) NOTE that there is a difference between the 200-serving bucket and the 275-bucket to the tune of 75-servings, so check twice before you buy the smaller bucket and make sure that is what you want.

We eat the Food for Health items because WE LOVE EM. They're easy to make, they're nutritious and most importantly (because right now we're not in an emergency situation when taste is not the prerequisite) THEY TASTE GREAT. I was really shocked! We've purchased other "emergency" foods from other suppliers and some were ok - some were, you know, the kind of thing you'd only want to eat if you had nothing else. But these are really, really good. Here's some tips we've used that maybe will be helpful for you Most (maybe all?) call for 4 cups of water. We always start with 5 cups. (I think you can even go 6 and not lose flavor.)
Taste isn't compromised at all; in fact, we've found taste enhanced.
Although cooking instructions don't indicate to do so, we cover during most of the cooking time,
removing the cover anywhere from the last 10 to 5 minutes, if needed, so our finished meal is not too watery and not too dry
We always keep on the stove for the maximum cooking time (most say I think 24-28 minutes). We've found the 28 works best. Directions say to allow to sit 5 minutes. If you can wait another 5, that sitting time really seems to make a difference.
We've actually served guests the Italian Tomato Pasta and everyone, I mean everyone, loved it. They had no idea they were eating emergency foods. When we've had a crowd and I wanted to supplement (as with the Pasta), I made meatballs on the side. I NEVER MIX ADDED FOOD TO the Food For Health entrees.
They taste so good as stand alones, I don't want to ruin them. So meatballs, or baked potatoes with the Creamy Potato Soup (yum!)
or Skinless thin-sliced chicken breast with the Cheesy Broccoli Rice we always keep to the side.
Love, just love the Whey Milk - better than cow's milk. Better, in my opinion, than Soy milk. Miles better than Rice Milk.
Hubby uses the milk-shake thingee to thoroughly dissolve. I tend to run thru a fine strainer cuz I like my milk perfectly liquid. Hubby says not necessary, but .....
We'll usually add just 4 cups of water to the whey milk and then add a few ice cubes to get nice and cold. We've also made PUDDING with the whey milk. Home-made pudding is a little bit of work, but it's home-made.
I want to try ice-milk one of these days, just have to carve out some time.

I GUESS THE WAY LIFE IS I'D BETTER ADD THE DISCLAIMER THAT JUST BECAUSE WE LOVE THESE ITEMS DOESN'T MEAN EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSE WILL.
We can't guarantee that you'll love 'em as much as we do but honestly we don't understand why you wouldn't :O). ALSO, YOU DO NEED WATER AND YOU DO NEED HEAT SOURCE TO COOK.
Let's see if I can't get the nutritional info for all items for ya.

eBay requires that a buy-it-now price be 10% over the opening bid. I know other sellers are charging even more than that, and are having items drop-shipped, which could add to the delay time - but I don't need to charge more - at least not right now. So here's what we'll do. If you place a bid for the opening amount and zip off a quick eBay message, we'll accept that bid. That way, you don't have to watch to see if you're overbid, and can effectively use the opening bid as a buy-it-now option.   HAVEN'T GOTTEN AROUND TO TYPING OUT YET, BUT WE'VE ALSO  USED: CREAMY POTATO SOUP to make CLAM CHOWDER (added 1 can whole clams; juice went right in with the water, clams added later. Also added scallions. Oh, so good) CHEESY BROCCOLI RICE added to our COWBOY STEW. (In our house, Cowboy Stew is any concoction of sauteed ground beef and/or crumbled Firm tofu, jalapenos, canned or fresh tomatoes, whatever beans we have on the shelf - last night's added fresh zucchini from the garden and a fresh onion. Now, the Cowboy Stew by itself was good, but my oh my, when added with the CHEESY BROCCOLI RICE, it was fantastic! Even our youngest son who is definitely NOT cowboy material ate it up.)YOU DON'T HAVE TO ADD STUFF, BUT WE'VE FOUND BY MAKING NEW RECIPES, IT'S LIKE EATING A WHOLE DIFFERENT MEAL every time we open up a packet.
