Thanks!PLEASE NOTE: MORE PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUESTFor sale is a gorgeous, beautifully made and superb quality German PASSIER “PARAGON” brown English close-contact/jumping saddle! This beautiful saddle is expertly made by Germany by PASSIER and it is the “PARAGON” model. This is a CLOSE-CONTACT/JUMPING saddle with a 17” seat. The gullet measures approx. 6” so this saddle likely has a WIDE TREE—PLEASE SEE PICTURES FOR MEASUREMENT AS TREE SIZE IS EDUCATED ESTIMATE NOT A GUARANTEE. The flap measures approx. 15” from the top of the stirrup bar to the bottom of the flap. The billet covers are stamped with the number “023975” which is the serial number for this saddle. This beautiful saddle is a rich chocolate brown in color. The Paragon model is known for being extremely comfortable with a wonderfully soft seat, giving particularly good leg positioning, as well as being a very reliable saddle. This saddle features a soft and inviting seat, a squared cantle, a slightly cutback pommel for wither clearance, medium knee blocks as well as padded leather knee rolls, gusseted panels, a synthetic saddle tree, billet covers and triple billets. This saddle is probably only a few years old (I didn’t check the serial number for its age) and it does not look to have been used regularly throughout that time. There are a couple notable flaws present, which are all on the same side of the saddle: (1) there is a chunk missing from the ridge of the cantle on one side—see closeups—but this shouldn’t be an issue for continued use (other than the aesthetic factor) as its location isn’t one that comes into contact with the rider. Perhaps it could even be patched with a specialty epoxy or something. (2) the underside of the knee roll’s EDGE has a damage spot which did tear through the leather in a small spot (again, I really think this could be easily patched), but this is another area that isn’t a “high traffic area” while in use or otherwise. (3) the underside of the interior flap shows some aged cracking near the bottom, and I have no idea what caused it as there is no cracking elsewhere. PLEASE NOTE: there is a “6” written in sharpie on the back of the cantle, but a nameplate would solve this, and there is also a name written on the underside of the saddle in sharpie along the gullet. Other than these noted issues, there are simply the typical and mild cosmetic signs of use and wear, such as marks/scuffs, some wear along the cantle, wear along the piping on the seta which has lightened the leather, tonal differences of leather, surface wear/smoothing, mild concentrated wear in “high traffic areas,” rub marks on the flaps from the leathers, ect. There is NOTHING WHICH WILL AFFECT USE. The tree is completely sound and solid, the flocking is GREAT, and the billets are in GREAT SHAPE as well! Please check out all the many photos which will enlarge to show more on condition as part of description. **No returns as it is priced very fairly and takes a bunch of work to list, clean and pack. This is a solid saddle at a terrific price! Any questions, just ask! Be sure to check out my many other listings for tons of great horsey deals!KEEP IN MIND - Please keep in mind that all items not described as new are being sold AS IS. I don’t take returns and I ask bidders to read the whole description and carefully overview the photos. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. I want all bidders to understand that many of my items are used, and quite possibly have very minor or insignificant defects that I’ve missed or didn’t specify in the listing. Don’t expect a used item to be free of flaws unless I describe it so. Please have realistic expectations when purchasing pre-owned items.FEEDBACKPLEASE READ BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK – VERY IMPORTANT! Feedback is very important to me, and the difference between you leaving me a positive or a negative can make or break my account.  Mistakes can happen, and if for any reason at all you feel as though you are unable to leave me positive feedback, I request that you please message me first and give me the chance to make things right. I want happy customers. I want you to feel like you would shop with me in the future, and would feel comfortable recommending me to friends and family.  So, if you’re experience has been unsatisfactory, please tell me what I can do to make your experience at my store better.BIDDING - All of my auction-style format items start at .99 cents. I do not force a price on you. If you bid a bazillion dollars on something, get it in your hands and think "Wow, this was only worth half a bazillion dollars!" PLEASE do not get upset at me as I didn't make you bid! Read the description, look at all of the pictures, ask questions if you would like more info and bid where you feel comfortable! I try to take a lot of good clear pictures from different angles for you, but if you would like more pictures just ask!COMBINED SHIPPING - Combined shipping is available! I don’t have a going combined rate because I typically ship items for less than the actual costs, so I judge by the weight and size of the final order. PLEASE wait to pay for your items until you are completely done bidding: items that have been paid for no longer quality for combined shipping. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN A WEEK OF AUCTIONS END; this means if you’re purchasing more than one item, all of the items you’ve purchased must be paid for within a week of the FIRST auctions end and a new order needs to be started if there are more items you’re bidding on.LIABILITY - In making a purchase from The Discount Equestrian the buyer acquires full responsibility and liability for any accident, injury or damage of any sort to any person(s), animal(s) or property that might occur while said purchase is in use. By making a purchase from The Discount Equestrian, the buyer agrees to full responsibility and understands with full knowledge that The Discount Equestrian is NOT liable for any event that takes place after the purchased item is received by the buyer.INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - International shipping is expensive! The prices have gone up; therefore I quote higher than it actually may be. I will refund the difference in price upon shipment, but I do expect the winning bidder, if from outside the U.S., to pay the quoted charge. Also, sometimes I quote too low, in which case I expect the buyer to pay the difference in the quoted and the actual charge. I AM NOT responsible for any customs fees or charges incurred upon the arrival of the package in the receiving country. I have NO control over this and am not responsible or liable for any costs.
