This Goondie combination is suitable for year-round use in Australian conditions thanks to its full-nylon inner and heavy duty fly. The full nylon inner adds insulation while the durable, water-repellent finish (DWR) prevents condensation dripping inside the tent. The 30-denier fly is a tad heavier and more durable than the 15 denier option, with higher UV resistance, making it better suited for prolonged use. Plenty of room to sit upright in get changed, store gear in either or both vestibules, mid size easier reach YKK zips, a Vestibule overhang, sturdy floor, (no foot print required.),free standing and weighs no more than an apple. Well no not quite.... This is a practical, lightweight, two-person tent for all conditions that doesn't sacrifice comfort for the sake of saving a few grams. The Goondie tent series has high-walled, bathtub floors made from hard-wearing, 100 denier PU-coated HT nylon - so tough that an additional footprint for under the tent is not needed. The vestibules can be rolled halfway up, creating fantastic flow-through ventilation even in the wet, bringing comfort in warmer conditions. When it's cold outside, the full nylon inner adds insulation while the durable, water-repellent finish prevents condensation dripping inside the tent. The Goondie is freestanding, needing a minimum of two pegs to hold the vestibules out. (Two 'mega pegs' re included, as well as four alloy pegs for the guy lines.) When not in use, the four storm guys tuck into handy little pockets built into the reinforcing tabs. The fly is made from 30 denier Silicon/PU Polyester, fully factory seamed sealed. Slightly heavier, sturdier and with higher UV resistance it is better suited to four-season use.
