Speer "Lawman" Handgun Ammunition bullet / cartridge display board / wall hanging -- perfect for your man cave. These inert cartridges are mounted with screws on the back rather than glue that was used in later years -- see picturesThe back has the name "Jim Folk" printed on it. Jim Folk was the supervisor of the operation that assembled these bullet boards for Speer in Lewiston, Idaho. My husband went to work for CCI Speer in 1973 and became the supervisor for Quality Control and this is the only one of this product that he has ever seen. He tells me that he met Jim Folk in the mid 1960s in Camp Perry Ohio at the National Rifle match. We believe only six of these were ever made but it could have been as high as 36 -- nonetheless it is a rare product. From the Speer Manual for Reloading Ammunition, Number 8, printed in 1970, on page 12 referring to a Stagecoach bullet board, "Originally designed as a dealer aid the Speer bullet display board has become a collector's item. Four earlier boards [of which this one is] are now very scarce. This board, the fifth in series, shows 60 rifle bullets and 12 pistol bullets. The entire Speer line has since been expanded." Page 19 of this same book has a picture of Jim Folk.This measures about 21 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches. The frame has a few dings as this has hung on a wall for many years.
