Product reviewThe Gotway MCMv3 is a 3rd generation performance unicycle offering superior fast and forceful driving experience. The MCM features a powerful 800 Watt motor surpassing entry level unicycles such as Airwheel X3 (350 Watt) or even larger 16 inches unicycles such as the Ninebot One (500 Watt) by a large margin. A twin battery pack with 32 performance Sony LiIon cells supporting peak power bursts of up to 60 Amperes - more than 6 times entry level unicycles such as Airwheels battery pack can deliver. The max speed is around 18 mph. Entry lelvel unicycles start tilting the pedals already at 8 mph reducing the effective average cruising speed considerably, while you will find yourself riding comfortably at speeds of 15 mph with the Gotway MCMv3. Gotway's driving algorithms is considered as most advanced allowing precise control, strong acceleration and also great driving stability beyond 10 mph. While entry level unicycles require jumping skills when driving over obstacles or bumps, the Gotway MCMv3 takes them smoothly at low speed and reliably at high speeds - making the MCM a good on-road and off-road companion. A full charge allows driving distances of up to 15 miles - depending on drivers weight, ambient conditions and parcours. That's more than enough for most micromobility driving scenarios. Gotway MCM v3 features regenerative breaking and a full battery charge costs less than 10 cents. Connect to the Gotway App by smartphone for driving parameters (speed, distance) and setting up driving parameters (max speed pedal tilt, warning noises, axis calibration, driving smoothness). You can have your mobile vibrate to indicate reaching the speed limit. Also use the app to horn warning slower traffic participants. The Gotway MCMv3 hosts a range of safety enhancing features: triple speed warning tones, adjustable max speed pedal tilt, low battery / voltage warning tones, high CPU temperature warnings, 45° side tilt shutdown, auto-shutdown after 2 second no ground contact. Widely underappreciated, the double battery packs provides extra cushion for peak energy requirements preventing shutdowns when driving through road potholes or sustained inclines. Charger (UN38.8), batteries (MSDS) and unicycle (CE) comply with international safety standards. There are more fancy case designs, but the Gotway MCMv3 wheel symmetry is well proven (1) offering well-leveled pedals allowing tight circling, (2) a half-open case protecting your feet but still allowing off-road driving and jumping, (3) having a wide battery compartment assuring contact with inner legs allowing optimal driving control, (4) visible battery indicators while driving, (5) the carbon coloration will make scratches on the case less visible, (6) grip is part of the case and cannot break off like with the Ninebot One.
