This is an original Slim Fallis made Balanced Ride saddle in very good condition for it's age. It is a solid made roper/reiner saddle and the weight is about 35 lbs. The skirt is 24" in length and the gullet is 7.5 inches. It has a high pommel to clear the withers. The seat is padded.Verified from John Fallis: Saddle 2490 was made around the middle of 1964 The 532 stands for 5=5 year tree guarantee (it’s over) 3=slick fork 2=? The last number for this saddle should have been a 0, standing for a plain saddle. May have BEEN AS SIMPLE AS PICKING UP THE WRONG number STAMP.Everything is original except the fleece has been replaced. Original 3.5" wide leather wrapped stirrups are in great condition. One saddle string located on the pommel (for securing a lariat) is split at the end and needs to be replaced. All other saddle strings are in great shape. There is cracking on the seat leather near the cantle which is shown in the photos. All the leather is soft and supple, not brittle at all. No tears in the fenders. Even though I am including a leather breast collar and rear cinch they are not matching. This is a quality saddle that will last decades and comfortable to ride in with the Balanced Ride rigging and forward hung fenders.Please message me if you have any more questions.
