17" MN DG Stackhouse mono flap saddle. Forward knee flap. June 2013. NOT off the rack. This is a $6000 custom made saddle but was made to fit a wide range of horses. Fits like a Medium. Flat seat. Panels on the flatter side. 8" from button to button (tree points). Currently 4" from inside of flap side to side. You can easily have more of the flocking removed to make it fit a wider horse. I had some added so I could temporarily use saddle on another horse. My two main horses were a 17hh, wide, well sprung thoroughbred with a laid back, large shoulder and a flatter sport horse back. And a very generic 16.3 Belgium warmblood. Not a good fit for a wide draft but fits wide A-framed horses quite well. Wool flocked. Soft and comfortable but sturdy, hard wearing, leather. Reinforced around the flaps and skirt. Integrated knee and thigh rolls. Slight scuffing on cantle, cosmetic. Looks worse in the picture than in person. Very comfortable saddle. Lets you feel the horse underneath you much better than conventional saddles. My horse is a tall, long shouldered, high withered (not shark fin), big moving thoroughbred. Saddle allows him more movement than any other I've tried. Wool flocking makes it super easy to adjust. Can fit shark fin withers if you add more flocking. Sadly selling because my horse has filled out even more! Invested in this saddle before he was done growing because he was so miserable in other saddles I'd tried. He LOVES this saddle but needs a wider tree now. Mono flap makes cleaning so easy. I'm going to use the money from the auction to buy another of the same in a wider size. That's how much I love this saddle.
