It is sometimes called a ‘backpack bed’. A ‘swag’ is a typical Australian/New Zealand term that refers to a piece of cloth in which you carry all your worldly belongings. During the past century, swagmen, or ‘swaggies’ (i.e. wandering workers) rolled all their belongings into a blanket, and put it into their swag (aka ‘matilda’) as they wandered (or ‘waltzed’) from one place to another looking for work in the outback. This led to the famous Australian songs ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘I’ve been everywhere’.What makes it so unique:The tent is easy to access, as it can be opened over its entire length. This gives you the opportunity to sleep under the stars, still protected from annoying insects by a mesh door. Consequently, your tent will always be nice and cool, even during a hot summer day. It is the ultimate ventilation. This is the 'cigarette test', which shows that the tent will not ignite when burnt by the likes of a cigarette.The tent has 2 windows in the short tent walls and 2 windows in its entire length, all of which complete with integrated mosquito nets.Takes 1 person only 5 minutes to pitch.Beautifully made quality built.
