The Rodrigo Pony Saddle is the ideal saddle for the serious young rider. When Nelson Pessoa started teaching his young son, Rodrigo, he discovered that most pony saddles were simply downsized adult saddles. To make riding easier, Nelson adjusted the seat by making the twist and width suitable for a young person's body. He spent weeks measuring ponies backs and testing trees and panels to find the ideal combination for both rider and pony. Bayflex is an extremely versatile material that can adjust itself to different pressures and maintain its protection without losing its shape. Because it is a specialty padding, it is able to provide ultimate cushioning without bulk. Bayflex does not bottom out, heat up or cause sore spots on the horse's back. The panels will adjust to a horse's back providing even contact and pressure, then spring back when removed, making this system ideal for those who ride multiple horses or those who prefer an ultra close contact.About Pessoa Trees: Classical riders like Nelson Pessoa know exactly where the rider's weight should fall on the horse's back.
