COUNTY "CONNECTION" SADDLE. 17.5 inch seat, XX-wide tree. Custom made saddle. The saddle is built for horses with broad backs & muscular shoulders.Perfect for Draft Crosses & Drafts, Warmbloods, Arabians or "Stock Breeds" like Paints, Appaloosas or Quarterhorses. Appropriate for showing dressage at any level! I showed my PONY in it. He was a Haflinger cross... so keep this in mind as an option for wide ponies too!
I am no longer competing in dressage, so I would love to see someone enjoy it.This saddle is in very good condition, with very little wear on the billets, and flaps. The leather is soft and supple. The seat and knee pads are crafted in smooth calfskin, the flaps are a grippy grained buffalo hide called "XTR". Wide gullet and channel. The panels are broad for best fit and comfort. The seat is generously wide for rider comfort. Wool flocking can easily be adjusted for a custom fit by a competent saddler for your own horse. This saddle is designed to sit closer to the horse.
It has NEVER had a nameplate on it. No loose threads, or damage. Tree is sound. Billets are tight. NO Blocks under the flap. Made the saddle that way for closer contact. There is a billet attachment if you want to add a fore billet.It is a top quality saddle that is in line with the premier French and English brands. County Saddllery is headquartered in MD, but there are fitters around the country. Measurements are:Seat 17.5 inchesflap length from the stirrup bar down, 16 inches.gullet width at the tree points, inside the leather at the panels not dee to dee on the outside- 6+ inches. round arched "hoop style" tree not for pointy withered horses.No returns, Final sale.
