I am selling my 18" black leather 389 HERMES dressage saddle. Medium/medium-wide tree. Flex stirrup bars to allow stirrup leathers to lay under flaps.This saddle is In pristine condition. The leather is soft and supple without tears or scratches. All stitching is sound and complete. I recently sent the serial number and images to Hermes and learned that this saddle was completed by HERMES on January 23, 1991. The seat and padded flaps are made of fjord leather and the panels are calfskin. The fjord leather is really unique and beautiful. It is made from an adult bull hide, giving it a heavy exterior that is completely water resistant. It has a matte-like appearance and texture that is very soft to the touch and that contrasts beautifully with the glossy calf leather on the panels. It appears that an Hermes of the same model was sold at Christies (sale 5263; lot 70) for over $10k last year. This is an amazing opportunity to get your hands on an amazing riding saddle that will get you noticed AND make you money!Please reach out with questions.
