This is a STUNNING show saddle in person! Far and away the most comfortable equitation seat I've ever sat in. Measures 15.5" to the padding, 16.5" to the seam, but this padding is extremely high-density foam that allows for a memory-foam-type seat and ultra-cushioned ride. The padding in the front pushes you back into the seat and forces you to sit up and sit back, which has been a wonderful attribute with my tendency to lean too far forward! I prefer a narrow ride, with extremely cutout skirting for a super close contact feel, and even though this saddle only has the top skirt cut out, it rides very narrow and provides a great feeling for horsemanship and pattern work. The skirt measures 27.5" front to back, great for those short-backed horses! My ONLY complaint with this saddle is that I bought it as supposed to be having full quarter horse bars from some less-than-stellar photos, and it obviously doesn't. Since my show horse is part rhinoceros, it just has too much pinch in front to get the shoulder reach and stretch from him that I need to win the pleasure classes. He's a wuss, what can I say? I've tried a dozen different pads, but I just can't make him happy. I've tried to take better pictures to help its next owner make an informed decision. This saddle has been stored in a padded case in the house, and sells with the leather billet, but no case, pad, stand, off billet or cinch. It was used last weekend, so it's freshly-cleaned and the silver recently polished. Please ask all questions prior to bidding, I do not accept returns.
