SPECIAL OFFER for auction a rare, hardly available Optimus Hiker stove: Original vintage OPTIMUS HIKER no 111, also called Optimus Cobra Arctic, silentburner equipment. Made in Sweden. This special stove was produced of Optimus for/used by the Norwegian Army only, in the very cold areas north of Norway, and they were not to be sold to public.Due to the special "COBRA-burner" (actually made for multifuel, see details photo) the stove was specially fitted for extreme weather conditions.
The stove is at ease with working at high altitudes such as 6.000 m (appr. 19.500 ft) and/in combine, temperatures down to -50 degree C.
The stove appears with many brand new parts and it is nearly as "new": New valve with all moving parts, needle, packing and new nozzle. New burner caps inner and exterior and new flame shield around the burner. New legs and new regulator knob with chain.
A "must" in everyones collection of Hiker hundred-eleven's.
I'll recommend high quality kerosene/paraffin only.
Tested indoors for photo illustration purpose, but I'll recommend outdoor use only. The stove is now in an exellent working condition.
Please notice: For test I have burned used environments for not to impair new parts.
