This bivy is spotless! Purchased brand new in 2006, had an unfortunate turn of events occur and 10 years later I'm unloading perfect condition gear because I'm just not going to use it. I sealed the seams when I received it. This is a bombproof bivy, you will not get wet. Perfect for backpacking, Mountaineering, just about anything really. Very quick assembly of shelter. No stakes or manual included. 4-Season 2 lbs. 10 ounces 6 x 15
The Tripod Bivy is a larger, more spacious (and more civilized!) incarnation of the bivy sack for solo adventures and ultralight trips. Three poles add head and foot room, increasing the usable interior space and eliminating the dreaded bivy claustrophobia; 25" height ToddTex™ fabric provides protection from rain and snow while allowing the breathability necessary for a comfortable, moisture-free night Laminated nylon floor withstands the abuse of sleeping on snow and rock Mesh netting keeps the flying critters where they belong Freestanding, easy to set up and small enough to fit easily into a backpack, bike pannier or haul bag Includes guylines, and Seam Grip, Monoject® has been applied, and stuff sack. Imported. Made with unique ToddTex, this bivy is totally waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable. ToddTex fabric is constructed with an ultralight ripstop nylon outer face, a 1.1 ounce polyester inner face that wicks water out as fast as a paper towel, and a PTFE (polytetraflouroethylene) membrane laminated in-betweeen.
