Sierra Designs patented Flex Technology which adds an additional 6" of girth to the bag.The Sierra Designs SFC Hibernator 0 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag is literally what Navy SEALs bunker down in for the night, so you know it's light, warm, and highly capable. You might not know, though, that it's all these things because it's filled up Climashield Combat synthetic insulation and treated with Polarguard 3D to make sure it stays warm and lofty. Even better, the Epic nylon fabric uses Flex technology and a shingled construction to provide six inches of stretch in each baffle, so you can move comfortably and sleep on your side, belly, or back without issue.
Sierra Designs built in 1/2-length zippers on each side of the Hibernator, allowing you to sit up and work without having to get out of the bag, and it backed each zipper up with a draft tube to make sure the warm air stays in and the cold air out. Additionally, the NightCap drawcord hood works with the draft collar to keep warm air around your head and neck while reducing weight and dead space, and the pad locks make sure you don't slide off your pad in the middle of the winter night and wake up with your face buried in the snow.
