Made in Toledo, Spain in the 1990's. Seat length = 12" measured inside between the front pommel and the back cantle. (I am 5'9" and 135-140 lbs and it fits me perfectly. You're height really doesn't matter, its your seat and thigh size that matters in a Portuguese saddle)Seat width = 11” at widest part
Pommel height (front of saddle) = 3"Cantle height (back of saddle) = 4"Thigh opening = 7"
Gullet: 4” wide at start of channel
2 1/2” wide at mid channel
1 1/2” wide at end channel
4” clearance Flocking = completely wool flocked with hand sewn reinforcement points
Billeting system = 3 billets in excellent condition with little to no wear. Deep & soft seat in beautiful rose colored suede. The suede seat has some wear which is consistent with use (please see detailed photos) The leather is supple and there is no cracking or drying anywhere.The metal appointments and buckles are made of nickel and have some discoloration from age, however no damage.The complete saddle is perfectly cleaned and oiled and ready to be used.This saddle will fit a Lusitano or PRE horse with a medium gullet size. It will also fit other breeds who take a regular gullet size. The photo of horse and rider are the actual saddle, stirrups and crupper in use.Crupper included, the crupper goes with the saddle and is by the same manufacturer.Bridle - A Portuguese double show bridle with embellishments, fancy buckles and an eggbutt bradoon and low port curb.
Both the bits are 5".This bridle can also be easily converted into a single bridle, either a snaffle or a curb. This bridle will fit a Lusitano or PRE horse with a regular sized head. Two of the embellishments on the bridle brow band are missing. Can be easily replaced by a Portuguese or Spanish tack repair shop.The leather is supple and there is no cracking or drying anywhere. SORRY AT THIS RIDICULOUSLY LOW PRICE - NO TRIALS OR RETURNS. I also have a full Portuguese riding habit including high waisted brown pants and a vest and jacqueta in a lovely brown tweed which should fit a tall (5'9")size 4 person.
And Portuguese half chaps (mini chaps) which fit a tall slim leg.
