This tent system is designed for when you need a little more protection from weather and bugs and more living space than a simple tarp+bivy but you don't need the extra weight and complexity of a fully enclosed solo tent. The front overhang is large enough to stop most almost all weather without blocking the view. The Fly or the InnerNet can be set up alone and both can work with other shelter systems. The Fly is a great emergency or lunch tarp for long day hikes and can be used with a 4oz bivysack for fast lightweight 3 season trips. The InnerNet can be pitched alone on clear nights to keep only the bugs away or used inside an AT Shelter for mice and mosquito protection. Also functions as a pretty good privacy screen - no one can see you laying down unless they are almost inside your vestibule - but by raising your head a few inches you can see out.
• Can be set up without the Fly. Works well in AT shelters and under many sizes of tarps including all of the MLD Pyramids.
• Elastic and clips at the corners for fast set up.
• Five tieouts plus the four corners connect to the fly to the InnerNet.
• The fly can stay connected to the fly for packing or can be inserted in under a minute.
• The center pole will be at a slight angle to the right to offer full access to the zip door. Used this shelter once. Bought a hammock and selling off my ground camping equipment.
