the folks at marmot put a lot of time and effort into the design of this bivouac shelter/tent. over the years marmot has produced some outstanding shelters, like, for example, the taku. this shelter is in many respects the ideal solo tent- small, yet not too small, with better ventilation than a true bivy. the semi-freestanding frame is the perfect blend of elements, incorporating some aspects of bivy design with a dome that provides for a huge doorway. note- the shockcord will need to be changed out.
