Signed by the maker Maurice Raoul-Duval who was an Olympic Polo Rider of 1900. Belived to be saddle use in the 1900 Olympic Polo Event but no provenance to prove it other than the signed saddle.  From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia he was the Olympic medal record Men's polo representing an Olympic flag. svg mixed team won Bronze medal – third place in 1900 Paris Team competition. Maurice Raoul-Duval (April 27, 1866 – May 5, 1916) was a French polo player who competed in the 1900 Summer Olympics.[1] In 1900 he was part of the Bagatelle Polo Club de Paris team which won the bronze medal. He was also a member of the Compiègne Polo Club team which was eliminated in the first round of the same tournament. He was killed in action during World War I
