This saddle has been ridden in just enough to be broken in, so the hard part is done for you already!!!! It has had one owner and is approximately 3 years old. It has always been well taken care of - regularly cleaned and conditioned with the Bates leather basalm (by the way, I'll send what I have left with the saddle). Because of the long flaps, this saddle would be an excellent fit for a taller rider or someone with longer legs (I'm 5'8"). Although it is a more forward, close contact seat, it is still deep enough to effectively flat your horse, and I have loved riding in it both on the flat and over fences on a variety of horses. And don't forget - the Caprilli has the interchangeable gullet system so you can fit multiple horses with it!! This saddle comes with the medium tree.
