Schleese JES Advanced Black Dressage Saddle 18” Serial Number: 583H0600 Tree: Currently set at about a Medium, but this saddle has an adjustable tree that can be fitted to any horse by Schleese. It was built on the awesome, flexible and adjustable Hennig tree. Seat: 18" seat is more open and not as deep as some saddles. This gives you the freedom to maneuver rather than sitting in just one spot. This one measures almost 18.5" and does sit a little generous for its stamped size as well. Flaps: Flaps are straight in position and slightly long, measuring just over 17 3/4" from the stirrup bar down. Color: Black. Leather: Upgraded French Leather, which is a soft and grippy calfskin type leather used on the JES Elite, Wave, etc. Year of Manufacture: June 2000, and lightly used for its age. Panels: This saddle has wool flocked integrated half panels for close contact, better pressure distribution, and shoulder freedom. It has a 5+ finger width gullet channel throughout, for clearance and freedom of the spine. Condition: Very good. This saddle just shows light, normal signs of use such as light rubs on the flaps from boots and stirrup leathers. The billets were replaced and look excellent. Saddle only used twice since billet replacement. This saddle has been lightly used and well-maintained with climate control . The leather feels supple and looks lovely. Cost New: Around $4000.
