A student of mine bought this saddle from the Custom rep here in North Texas, had it fitted, then almost a month later, proceeded to get a new horse who had his own Custom saddle that fit him specifically...so this one has to go. It is a medium tree, that can be stuffed by a saddle fitter to fit a range of horses. It is a mono flap design (no sweat flap) ensuring the best possible contact with the horse. It looks to be only very lightly used. It is Steffan's Advantage model, which Custom states: "Extra soft supple cowhide on the skirt and flap with grippy tactile cowhide in the seat and rolls." Who knew cowhide could be tactile? It is narrower in the twist, it has a wood spring tree with open pommel, excellent (according to Custom) for average to high withered horses. It is wool flocked (as opposed to foam...for all of you running around with Devoucoux saddles you can't restuff, you know what that means). Custom also claims it will guide your legs with comfort, control, and balance. With all that, who needs a trainer? It is an excellent saddle with a super price. The flap, measured by me, a non-saddle fitter with a tape measure, taking the best measurement I can, measures roughly 17.5 inches from bar to the end of the flap...but holy crow don't come and burn my house down if I am off by a half an inch because I measured it in a different spot. The sale on this saddle IS final, I am not a tack shop, just a trainer trying to help a student by listing her saddle on my dang day off. Shipping is an estimate.
