Note: All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers!Here is a nice older Barler No 3 Heater/Stove for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself.This vintage heater/stove was used by the railroad and also for camping and remote cabins. The stove dates to the late 1910s to mid-1920s period.This Barler Heater came from the extensive collection from a NJ estate. We have a number of that collector's marine/nautical items that will be listed soon for sale separately in our store (wood and resin figureheads, double glass electric lanterns, brass spotlights, Dumas Chris Craft remote control model w/ engine (similar to a 1241), a newer Celestron telescope, custom compass rose table and wall plaque and other lanterns). The listing numbers will be noted below once they are published.The heater was made by the Barler Manufacturing Company of Chicago, IL.d on the piece. The stove has a brass body to hold the fuel and then a brass neck and topper to the burner. The body of the stove is made of metal and had been repainted silver and green. The name plate has been renickled. Nice looking restoration job. The only things we see that still need to be done is that the glass where the Barler labe is now is missing and a piece of plastic is there and the handle to carry the heater is no longer with the piece.We cannot speak to whether the stove is operational or not (have no burner fluid and not going to put flammable liquid in due to shipping restrictions), so saying the stove is in not working condition.The stove is 20" tall, by 9.5" across, by 9.5" wide.
