STEELE "EQUITATION" ENGLISH SIDESADDLE.THIS saddle is in show shape, ready to ride. You just need your own safety stirrup & girth!
Includes billet converters for using a western cinch and a western stirrup. I can give you the name of a fantastic saddler to make a custom western stirrup leather to make this saddle convertible- for showing in western divisions.The stirrup bar on this saddle will accommodate one. This saddle is adjustable from 20, 21, & 22 inch for the seat. I have it set to 21". It adjusts with an Allen key (not included) The tree width is XW. It measures 8" between the panels at the dees (inside measurement)
This saddle is made with a wooden tree, which is not reinforced for jumping, BUT it is a sturdy saddle. It is built like a western tree. You can use it for the trail class, where there are small step overs, or trail riding where there is a log to hop. Just not made for fox hunting, or English jumping divisions. The seat is generously wide, 14"! The cut back is deep enough to clear withers, and keep the saddle off your horse's back.
The billets are in good shape, and the balance billet is new. I am not taking returns on this saddle, because it is heavy to ship. I will gladly measure it against a tracing if you would like to send one to me.I will ship this saddle worldwide, but it will be expensive to ship. IT IS FINAL SALE~ NO RETURNS!!Local pickup can be arranged near Raleigh NC.These are no longer available through Hundred Oaks. The owner and sole proprietor has retired. This is THE original Steele Equitation saddle. The tree is available for other saddlers to use, but they are now really hard to get and very expensive to order.
