No metal splinters.This 12 strand rope had a strand that was defective and it was removed. It is still 100% Dyneema SK-75 protected by a urethane rope coat measuring over 1" in diameter.Instead of going to waste I will pass great savings on to you.Under $6 a foot for 1-1/16" inch diameter Dyneema rope is an unheard of bargain judging by my experience with this product.Stronger than a 1" steel cable; yet, so light it floats!
