Must have 2-way personal locator system for anyone heading out to remote locations - hikers, fishermen, hunters. Excellent satellite coverage allows your friends and family to track your progress. Send texts and emails from areas with no phone coverage. SOS function should you become unwell or injured in remote areas. Commonly used by long distance hikers - system worked perfectly for me on recent 4week hike in Sierra Nevada USA. Note that an annual/monthly subscription is required to use device features, visit DELORME website for details of subscription options.
