The Sensation treeless saddle line offers one of the softest and most comfortable seats for the rider available anywhere. These saddles are secure and balanced. With many ways to adjust the seat shape, firmness, and stirrup position, it is possible to comfortably fit almost any shape of rider. Sensation saddles have removable/replaceable panels which may be customized. Their small footprint, especially on the English models, fits small horses and ponies well. I was skeptical about getting a treeless saddle initially but this saddle has more than lived up to my expectations. It feels and can be used like a normal saddle, it just is much softer than any other saddle I know. I could even mount my horse from the ground - this apparently can be an issue with treeless saddles but wasn't a problem for us. Overall, it was an excellent choice for me when I bought my horse and needed to get tack without having her close by to have a saddle fitted or a clear idea what discipline we wanted to pursue. I used it in the arena and for short and extended trail rides. I do like the deep and super-soft seat. The saddle is a light weight (~6lbs) and priced at $1750 for a new saddle. Check out the Nickler Saddlery website for more info. The seat is adjustable, which I haven't taken advantage off, it just fit well for me. I bought it lightly used about 1.5 years ago. It probably is between 16.5-17''. No fittings included, one can order knee rolls from the saddlemaker specific to riders needs. Every saddle made by the company is made to order so it is custom in that respect. The flap is long and I used english leathers and the free-swinging mounting option for the leathers even for trail rides. If desired I will throw in used leathers, stirrups and dressage girth for free since I cannot use them with my new saddle anyway. Saddle sells as is. US buyers only.
