I am the second owner of this saddle...I bought it when I bought the horse to whom it belonged. I sold the horse and the new owner did not want the saddle...sadly, as it fit the little chap well. Oh well, you guys know how it goes when you try to find a saddle to fit your horse? IMPOSSIBLE, right? Oh well, live and learn, I suppose. This is a super comfy saddle. I ride in MacRider saddles, so this isn't really on my saddle menu at the moment, but there isn't a thing wrong with it, aside from the fact that it is sitting in my garage rather than on a horse. So I am offering it at this ridiculous price because I would rather it be sitting in a more climate controlled place being used than in my humid garage gathering cobwebs (and grumbles from my husband). It has super sticky leather and calf leather, big ol knee rolls, and although at the moment it is stuffed for a mid-compact model Lusitano butterball (somewhere in the M-MW range) I reckon a decent saddle rep could alter it to fit anything but a super slim. Take a look at the photos, I tried to capture the aura of nobility and look of eagles that this saddle exudes, but my iPhone just does not do it justice. I do think, however, that I managed to capture the small flaws in the leather that will, at least, prevent any legal action that may ensure following auction close should I fail to disclose them. This is a USED SADDLE, PEOPLE. I don't have a cloth wielding saddle gnome that removes my saddle from my horse and places it lovingly in a vault following my ride. I clean my tack, I repair it, I service it, yes. Gnome, no. So if you think you are getting a $4500 saddle for $1500, then you may be one sad little camper when the box arrives. However, if you want an ultra comfy, well balanced, well kept, cosmetically pleasing quality saddle that has YEARS of life left in it for a *very* reasonable price, then you will be DELIGHTED with this purchase. Choose wisely, grasshopper. Sales are final. I've allowed saddles out on trial before and they have come back with teeth marks in them. I don't expect anyone else to have a saddle gnome either, but I also don't expect people to allow their pet sharks to teeth on the saddles I lend to them to try out, but apparently that is asking a lot. A few bad apples.....so sorry. Shipping is pricey.....yes, I know. I charge $75 for domestic shipping, and a lot of times I wind up paying more out of pocket. If you want me to ship it to Burma or wherever, please pick a drop off place and I will take it there and you can pay them to pack it and ship it to you. If you live near Ft. Worth Texas or feel like a road trip here, I would be happy to meet you. Or your saddle gnome. Thanks for looking! PS...this is the Custom Advantage...not the Signature Steffan's Advantage. I had a student with that particular model and frankly, it wasn't nearly as nice as this one. Kinda the same thing only...not as nice. Why, Custom Saddlery, why? Why must you be so confusing as to name two models almost the same but yet be different?
