Saddle Size: 17.5" Color: Brown

Older French monoflap close contact jumping/cross country eventing saddle made by R. Motard Sellier, a high end French saddle manufacturer later bought out by Devoucoux, the design is similar to the Devoucoux Ioldy.
17.5" seat, fairly narrow tree, fits high withered horses who are narrow through the back FANTASTICALLY. Forward flap is great for going cross country, or just for a long-legged rider, external knee & thigh blocks give the rider a lot of security w/o being restrictive, and the monoflap design makes for a very close contact feel; extremely well balanced & well made saddle.WOOL FLOCKED.  <<-- something of a rarity when it comes to high end French saddles. the flocking can be adjusted by a saddle fitter to fit your horse's shape just so. the flocking may need to be replaced at this point, though it still has some give to it and not much "lumpiness" at all. While this saddle is in great shape for it's age & has been well cared for, it does have some minor condition flaws -- there is some surface cracking (not all the way through) on the underside of the panels toward the front, of which I have included photos. The billets are good and strong, but one single hole, the top hole of the front billet on the off side, has stretched somewhat (tried to include a photo but it is very difficult to see, if you so desire I can try to get a better one), however that hole is still perfectly usable and the billets are otherwise in good condition.I truly love this saddle & love riding in it, but I sold my narrow high withered Thoroughbred about a year ago now, and my current horse takes a wide-extra wide tree ...it does not look like I'll be having much use for this beautiful saddle any time in the foreseeable future, so I regretfully must sell.Probably the best deal you're likely to find on a high end French monoflap saddle! And a wool flocked one to boot!Saddle is sold as is & returns are not accepted.
