Up for auction,I am selling my 1966 Rare Lil Indian model 500.I am an Administrator for Lil Indian on one of their web pages. This bike is by far the rarest model 500 around period.Multiple 1st place winner at the Minibike Shows. The bike has been partially restored being that it would have been a crime to touch the Engine which still has it's original paint and Decals. The engine,80212 1966 3HP correct Rare red color is original, has been gone through and is in excellent running condition, all new NOS gaskets, diaphragm etc...Unique to this bike are a list of things,A triumph motor cycle Throttle,BTE Brand, correct, very high quality, much nicer then the Cherry throttles that typically came with the bikes. Also the Brake Lever is unique the only other one I have seen is in the Brochures! The frame is the same style Lil Indian used early on,has the tapered Kick in area by the foot rest, very Rare to find one of these!.The fender bracket is unique too,it's the early twist style but it also has what I have never seen Conduit Clamps on the back side, this is all documented and correct, shown in the brochures...The fenders are also very unique as they are a thicker gauge then what all the other lil indian fenders are and they have a unique primitive in a sense, side wall that looks hand formed,100% correct. The brake is their earliest of three styles, sand cast, marked H.H seen only on the earliest bikes that have Disc Brakes! The wheels are the rare Hands from California and have the later style NON Timken Bearings. This bike is a transition and has the Rare Drum/Sprocket combination!,but uses the disc brake, this is documented Correct and included in multiple brochures and stock photo's.The Carlisle Indian head tires are original 1966 date coded, and in excellent shape,no dry rot at all! The seat, you will never see one again,is a correct 2 tone, restored with NOS correct foam and a new base board.excellent condition! The foot bar rests rubber ends are impossible to find and are NOS,I included a picture to show the comparison to whats made today! the taller one is the NOS much better made and as I said, you wont find these anywhere! Cables are NOS Cherry as are the Hunt Wilde Grips! The Original Mercury Clutch is like new!,original bearing,No Wear period! All the Hardware  except one 1/4 20 fender bolt is Original you will see a letter "C" with a line under it.These were unique to Lil Indian, they even used these on the Hands Wheels. All this Hardware has been re Zinc Plated,The chain is a correct Diamond Brand NOS! There is much more I could list,Time wasn't an issue when it came to restoring this bike, every effort to do this bike correctly was taken,I have restored quite a few bikes across the USA and have great reputation in doing so,no disappointments here..I would prefer this bike be picked up personally or possibly use a company like U-SHIP as it really isn't a bike you would want to take apart to ship But I will if that is what the buyer wants..This bike is deserving to be in a Museum.I will include all the Trophy's and pictures including one from the Dean Marsden collection as he was Lil Indian's original photographer..This bike is by far the RAREST Century Series Bike around period! You won't find another one! Thanks for looking and have a Blessed day! P.S I am listing shipping at $200.00 ,it may be much less and will be adjusted accordingly.Prefer U-SHIP for shipping.
