This is an ultralight sleeping quilt by Enlightened Equipment with 800 Downtek (water repellent with very good reviews). It is a Regular (6') length, and Wide (58"). It has a 20" zippered footbox and otherwise straps and small snaps that work well to turn a quilt into a mummy bag if you prefer (if warm you can leave it open like a blanket). This particular quilt has been awarded the Outdoor Lab's Best Buy Award in the category of Ultralight sleeping bags. You get a lot of bang for the buck! Great for cyclists, ultralight backpacking, hikers, climbers, kayakers, etc. Visit Enlightened Equipment site to see this quilt and current prices. I paid $255 last spring and waited 12 weeks to get it (which is typical for this USA company that sews all its own products in Minnesota). I ordered a 20 degree bag thinking this would be fine for my summer backpacking season needs. I used it for 10 nights only, and I am very careful with my equipment. When I got home I gently washed it with down soap. When it was nearly dry I put it in the dryer on low just to fluff the final bit of feathers. Oooops, that was a big mistake for this lightweight 10 denier nylon fabric! Just tumbling in the dryer for about 20 minutes made a small area of the yellow fabric pucker.I called Enlightened Equipment and asked how to repair it. They kindly sent me a piece of black fabric tape that I could cut and cover the puckered yellow nylon. So I have repaired it according to manufactures suggestions and it should be fine. See photos of before and after the repair. Enlightened Equipment Revelation quilts can be spread out and used as a blanket for two, or a body wrap while walking around on cold mornings, or buttoned up and wrapped around tight like a mummy sleeping bag at night. I did the full mummy configuration but as an over-age 50 woman I was still just slightly cold. A man or a warmer (younger) woman would probably do fine (20 years ago I slept in a 40 degree bag just fine). I have to sell this wonderful quilt because I am just a tad too cold in it. I will also include the large grey SilNylon cinch bag for loose storage as well as the black smaller nylon bag for packing it up when you go. All Enlightened Equipment products are custom-made to order with a normal wait time of about 7-12 weeks. This quilt has a 20 degree Fahrenheit warmth rating (they say this is a "man's rating" so add 10 degrees to get a general comfort level for women), 800 fill DownTek water-resistant down, regular length (good up to around 6' tall) and wide girth (useful for adding layers underneath or wider hips). As you can see, sleeping quilts don't have a hood, making them even lighter, but they can be pulled up around the neck and chin and even over the head pretty easily if needed (I did).My scale said 22.3 ounces. I really love this quilt and the colors! The fabric is very soft and luscious. Get it while you can! Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have questions.
