This is a one of a kind, hand made, 15" Berl Jenkins ranch saddle out of Afton, Texas. This saddle a dark chocolate color with basket weaving over most of the saddle, except the seat. It has silver and leather conchos as well as a large silver concho on the top of the saddle horn. The seat is smooth and it has a high cantle. The only thing wrong with the saddle is that it's missing the cantle roll/leather. It appears to have been a men's saddle because the fenders are long and it has oversized stirrups. The fleece underneath is well-used but in good shape - there doesn't appear to be any holes or bare spots. The tree feels solid and sturdy. This is a big, heavy saddle and would be great for someone who spends a lot of time in the saddle. All the leather is thick and sturdy, the stirrup leathers and Blevins are all in good shape. It has a wide enough gullet that it fits comfortably on horses and larger mules. We have only found a couple other listing for Berl Jenkins handmade saddles and he is now deceased, but formerly worked out of Afton, Texas. You must see this saddle to appreciate the workmanship.
