17.5 Nelson Pessoa Jumping/Close Contact Saddle, with a medium tree.This saddle has the label indicating "N. Pessoa Paris". This is a 1990s era Pessoa from the time period when Pessoa saddles were still made in the UK with English leather. If you research these older Pessoas, you will learn that the quality of these saddles is exemplary. Pessoa began manufacturing its saddles in South America during the 2000s and they were never comparable to the leather quality and durability of the 1990s models. The saddle's leather is in great condition, with only some cosmetic blemishes including minor scratches on the cantle and knee pads. The marks on the cantle and elsewhere are just superficial scratches. The leather has been conditioned regularly and the saddle has been well-maintained and lightly used. The tree is sound. The panel flocking appears evenly distributed and full. Billets are in very good condition. The saddle has slender knee rolls. It provides a comfortable close contact feel, and in my experience has fit a variety of horses from a high-withered TB to a stock Appy.
