G5 striker broadheads Faktor 30 Compound Bow Hoyt Faktor 30The Hoyt Faktor 30 compound bow uses the specifications from the Spyder 30 that was released in 2013 and given it a redesign for the 2014 season. The bow is a short axle to axle bow that has redesigned Z5 cams for a smooth draw and impressive speed.
The Z5 cam system is a redesigned version of the RKT cam but it uses many of the features of the previous system. The module adjustments are available in three configurations with the first cam offering adjustments from 24 – 25.5 inches, the second from 26 – 28 inches and the third providing 28 – 30 inches. All adjustments are in half inch increments.
The draw cycle is extremely smooth with a small amount of stiffness at the start. The valley is generous and the back wall is reassuringly solid. For a bow with a top end speed of 332 fps the brace height measurement of 6.75 inches offers plenty of forgiveness.
The riser of the Faktor 30 is a Tec Lite aluminum riser and provides a strong and stable base for the bow. Torque is eliminated and strength is enhanced by this riser design and it continues to dominate the bows that are being produced by Hoyt at the moment.
The parallel split limbs are constructed with a multilayer lamination technique for added strength along the entire length of the limbs. The draw weight range is quite wide as well starting from 30 pounds and maxing out at an incredible 80 pounds.
