Custom made Cutting Saddle by Len Brown built in 2013. Light weight - around 22 lbs, with a 16 inch seat. This is called a futurity cutting/sorter and the pommel has a slight forward tilt which makes for a roomier seat and room to push back on the horn when cutting. Because of this the traditional seat measurement will show larger; so I included the leg measurement as well. Another unique feature is the 'bareback cut skirt'. See last photo. Under your thigh, the skirt is gone. There is elk skin on top of the sheepskin skirt lining. The 3-point adjustable rigging in the flap works as follows: The latigo is attached in the center slot. Take the last loop of the latigo to the front slot and it will hold the saddle back (helpful for a downhill), put it to the rear slot and it pulls the saddle forward. Use all 3 on the round back & it holds nicely. It's close contact, no steel bars, plates or dees. Its 2 layers of light skirting with rawhide in between. Saddle has some wear, but has been well-cared for. Pad in photo is not included. Originally paid over $4,000 to have this built. This is a really nice saddle and it's rare to find one listed for sale. Please feel free to ask questions and/or request additional photos if needed.
