Up for sale is a beautiful Olsen Nolte equestrian Sterling silver and 14k gold western belt buckle. The buckle was most likely a special order by Robert Schaezlein & Sons of San Francisco. Schaezlein made high quality western silver items for several generations (and is continuing to do so). They produced items for Olsen Nolte and I believe this was a low volume special order. I chatted with Robert Schaezlein III a few years back and he indicated at that time that the buckle was most probably made by his company in the 1950's and quite possibly made by his dad Robert Jr. It is a beautiful buckle and reflects the finest craftsmanship.
