Up for your consideration Is this fabulous Leddy Saddle.Serial number J 14
As per conversation with Joe at Leddy's in Texas serial number J14 This saddle was custom made for Bob Blanford (Cowboy Hall Of Fame) on October 29, 1966 It is a 15" seat. Medium brown, rough out set, horn wrap It is called the "Poco Cutting Horse SaddleThis saddle is absolutely solid and in original condition. It proudly wears its experience with very minor imperfections that comes with use and age. It comes complete with it's original back rigging. The rigging is also in nice condition. It has full QH bars.
The wool under the saddle is good and also original. There are two, less than a dime sized wear spots equal on either side, on the wool located towards the front. If you look hard you can see it. Very minor but I wanted to mention it.
The leather lovely and supple. The saddle strings I would say show wear and age. All the stitching is solid. There are no tears on the seat.
Joe from Leddy's told me that this model is a cutting saddle, that it is the old style. Today it would be seen as an equitation seat. This saddle weighs approximately 50 lbs. I can't tell you how great it is to ride in this saddle. I love it. Beautiful tooling, solid, balanced ride, a real saddle that has stood the test of time.
If you have any questions, just ask me.
