Oboz Big Sky BDRY Insulated Walking Shoes

BDry Membrane Upper The upper of the Oboz Big Sky BDry Insulated Walking Shoes is constructed with oiled top grain leather which provides exceptional durability. Additionally fitted with BDry which keeps the feet dry through creeks, mud, rain and sweat, thanks to the three key components. The crux is Oboz's proprietary tape-sealed polyurethane film bootie, which waterproofs shoes but still lets sweat escape, secondly, all of Oboz's BDry shoes come with hydrophobic upper materials, meaning the rest of the shoe won't absorb water. Finally, the textile lining inside BDry boots wicks sweat away, so feet stay dry from the inside out. To keep your feet feeling warm through the cold winter months, the shoes are equipped with Thinsulate Insulation which works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air the material traps in a given space, the greater it's insulating value. Because the microfibres in Thinsulate insulation are far finer than other fibres, they trap more air in less space, which naturally makes it a better insulator. Lastly, the upper has a moulded heel counter which Oboz mould themselves, making it extra durable against collapse.
TPU Chassis Midsole Fitted with a dual density EVA midsole, it will ensure the wearer with ultimate cushioning, providing comfort while on a long walk. Additionally, Oboz's TPU Chassis provides featherweight, effective armour underfoot, reducing stone bruising and torsional twist. The midsole also features a nylon shank which is extremely supportive, lightweight and flexible so you'll be able to move more easily with these in place. They give just enough bend to create a more natural movement in your feet, and there's plenty of support to help ease some stress in your arches.
Granite Peak Outsole Built with purpose - for big summits, long days, quick jaunts and urban strolls. The Granite Peak is the quintessential hiking outsole, featuring a nylon shank for stability, toothy side lugs that hug off-camber trails, and 4mm directional lugs studding the sole. Built with fantastic traction which will keep you feeling secure on loose terrain.
