This saddle is very "grippy" and helps keep your position well in the tack. It has back and front knee rolls as well. It's an "average" tree size at 31 but fits several different horses with no adjustments. I rode two very different horses in this saddle with no issues. I've had the flaps reinforced with double stitching (you can see In the photo) as the deluxe leather on stubben saddles is very soft. You will absolutely love this saddle, it's like riding in a cloud and allows you to keep the right form on the flat and over fences. I
