Description This unusual, hard-to-find, J. BORDE backpacking camp stove is in extremely nice condition. This stove was made in Switzerland.
On the underside of the stove there is an original label that reads: Distributed by Phillip-Leaus Co. / Box 8154 / Denver 19, Colo. Notice the "zone #19"....ZONES were used by the US Post Office between 1943 and 1963 in the largest US cities only.
Years ago, when I purchased this stove it contained no fuel and I never did fire it up. It is clean and it is shiny. All of the moveable parts work.... so why shouldn't it operate. You get all this other stuff with it:
The adjustable stabilizer The wire jet cleaner The collapsible pot-stand The original Instruction Sheet And the bottom half of the original box The stove unit measures 6-1/2" long. Each leg of the collapsible pot-stand measure nearly 7" long. The "pot" in the photo IS NOT included in the "stuff you get". I understand this stove is not for beginners and needs to be used with caution as the tank can become quite hot. This stove is out of production (extremely hard to find) and should probably be kept in your collection of stoves .... rather than be used. I will include an article written by an expert on this stove.
CONDITION: Pre-owned.... condition is excellent. Please read narrative above for additional details.
