The rugged nylon shell has been woven with thread-blending Fuseform technology to reduce the number of seams and increase durability for better mobility, less bulk, and a lighter weight. The North Face backed all the remaining joints with waterproof tape to prevent wind-driven moisture from penetrating the shell. Because they're designed specifically for vertical endeavors, the Summit L5 Pants are loaded with climbing-friendly features. A gusseted crotch offers high-stepping mobility. The pack- and harness-compatible pockets provide easy access to essentials, while an integrated belt stops your pants from falling down while you make your way up tricky mixed pitches. Side zips provide easy temperature regulation, so you don't sweat on the climb and then freeze at the belay.
