This is a RARE FIND "Special Edition" 18.5" Astund Super Icelandic Saddle with premium Water-Buffalo Leather! Saddle is in EXCELLENT gently used condition! Buy this saddle for only a small fraction of it's original retail price of $3500!Made in Iceland of the finest saddlery craftsmanship. The "Super" is one of Astund's most popular saddles in the Astund saddle line and made exclusvely for "gaited horses" with short backs. It is a close contact flexible saddle with a flat and very comfy seat. This is an extremely well made saddle! 2" thigh rolls.The Astund is the first saddle to be made on a totally flexible tree, using natural materials.The Astund tree is a spring tree made of 4-5 layers of Birchwood with laser treated steel springs for durability. The Astund saddle is designed to act as a "shock absorber" between horse and rider. All Astund saddles spread the weight of the rider as evenly as possible over the horse's back to reduce shock waves.The panels are stuffed with firm- density flock, which perform superbly with the flexible Astund tree.
